Ardonagh Group Expands with Acquisition of SRB Assekuranz Broker

The Ardonagh Group, a London-based independent insurance distribution platform, has announced the acquisition of SRB Assekuranz Broker AG (SRB), a Zurich-based insurance broker. Founded in 1980, SRB specializes in serving corporate customers, primarily in the industrial sector, with a team offering in-depth knowledge and expertise, including a dedicated risk engineering division.

SRB will continue to be led by its current management team and employs approximately 30 people across offices in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The broker manages a premium pool valued at around €120 million. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

SRB has been a partner of Brokerslink, a global risk management and broking network founded by MDS Group, since 2007. SRB’s CEO, Edoardo Leusciatti, serves on the Brokerslink board. The acquisition will enhance Ardonagh’s presence in the local market and provide SRB with access to important specialty and technological resources.

“I am delighted to welcome the SRB team to the Ardonagh family,” commented MDS Group CEO José Manuel Fonseca. “Their experience and knowledge will enhance our long-standing partnership and ability to excel in this strategically important sector.”

Leusciatti noted that joining The Ardonagh Group will expand SRB’s presence in the local market and beyond, providing significant gains in scale and access to specialty resources, thus strengthening their customer proposition.
