Farmers National Insurance Appoints Matt Parise as President
CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Insurance, the insurance agency subsidiary wholly owned by Farmers National Bank, has announced the appointment of Matt Parise as its new president. Parise will lead the insurance strategy for Farmers, focusing on retaining and expanding existing business while acquiring new clients. He and his team will continue to collaborate with internal business partners to protect customers’ business and personal assets, as well as provide group and individual health insurance solutions.
Founded in 2008, Farmers National Insurance has grown significantly through strategic acquisitions, including The Bowers Group in June 2016 and Champion Insurance in July 2022. Parise joined the company in 2004 when it was known as Bowers, beginning his career in the insurance industry. He succeeds Ben Bowers, who retired in the fourth quarter of 2024.
“We are thrilled to appoint Matt to this role,” said Mark Wenick, senior executive vice president and chief wealth management officer. “With his deep experience, proven leadership, and dedication to Farmers’ mission, Matt is uniquely positioned to drive this division forward and continue delivering exceptional value to our clients.”
Parise resides in Cortland with his wife and three children. His appointment comes at a time when Farmers National Insurance is poised for continued growth and expansion under his leadership.
