Zurich North America has appointed Chuck Kaiser as its new chief communications officer, effective May 27. With more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications, Kaiser will be responsible for managing Zurich’s communications strategy across the United States and Canada. He will be based at the company’s North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, and will report directly to CEO Kristof Terryn.

“Chuck is an accomplished communications leader with a proven track record in corporate reputation management and strategic communications,” said Terryn. “Throughout his career, Chuck has demonstrated an ability to manage complex communications challenges and drive impactful business results.” Kaiser has held senior roles at various companies, including Vela Capital Management LLC, Edelman, Motorola, and Allstate Corp. Most recently, he served as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Vela Capital Management LLC, where he was responsible for overseeing marketing, business development, and thought leadership activities.
This appointment comes as Zurich North America continues to make significant leadership changes. Recently, the company made several key appointments across its financial lines and specialty business units. Carrie Goesel was named head of excess and surplus financial lines, bringing her experience from previous roles at Travelers, Chubb, and CNA, where she focused on financial institutions. Additionally, Jason Meador was appointed to lead the direct markets business, overseeing auto dealers and rental operations, following the retirement of Vince Santivasi. Dalynn Hoch succeeded Meador as head of Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS), having previously led mergers and acquisitions at Zurich Insurance Group.
These leadership changes reflect Zurich North America’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the insurance market. Kaiser’s appointment is expected to enhance the company’s communications strategy and support its business objectives in the region.
