Dai-ichi Life Holdings has partnered with Capgemini to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India, aimed at driving the company’s global digital transformation. The centre will support Dai-ichi Life Group’s IT and digital strategies by leveraging India’s talent pool. Initially managed by Capgemini under a Build-Operate-Transfer model, the GCC will focus on software development, infrastructure modernization, AI and data solutions, and cybersecurity. Dai-ichi Life plans to eventually bring the operations in-house to strengthen its internal capabilities.
The initiative is expected to enhance in-house digital capabilities and improve technology platforms across operations in Japan, the United States, and Australia, with the potential to expand further based on business needs. This move is part of Dai-ichi Life’s strategy to boost its digital transformation and competitiveness in the insurance market.
