Grange Insurance Receives Corporate Citizenship Award for Outstanding Community Impact
Grange Insurance Company has been honored with the prestigious Corporate Citizenship Award by Columbus Business First, recognizing the company’s exceptional community impact in 2024. The award highlights Grange’s commitment to volunteerism, associate engagement, and nonprofit leadership across its enterprise.
The Corporate Citizenship Award program, established in 2018, acknowledges the generosity of Central Ohio companies and their employees. Grange was recognized in the large workplace category for its remarkable achievements in 2024. The company’s community impact was marked by record charitable giving, enhanced associate engagement, and significant nonprofit leadership.
“At Grange, our core values guide everything we do, and ‘Do the Right Thing’ is at the heart of our community efforts,” said Carrie Maun-Smith, Grange Insurance AVP of Inclusive Culture and Community Impact and Foundation President of Grange Enterprise Gives. “Our associates are the driving force behind our community impact, whether they’re donating, volunteering, or lending their expertise as nonprofit board members.”
In 2024, Grange Insurance provided over $2.3 million in financial support to more than 500 nonprofit organizations. This total includes $500,000 from associate giving and contributions through Grange Enterprise Gives. The company also saw a significant increase in associate volunteer hours, reaching nearly 13,000 hours in 2024, made possible by new initiatives that made volunteering easier and more accessible.
Nearly 75% of Grange’s company leaders served on nonprofit boards, further strengthening the company’s community impact. To enhance their effectiveness, Grange offered board leadership training to help associates grow as community leaders.
