    Aflac Incorporated Reports Cyber Incident

COLUMBUS, Ga., June 20, 2025 – Aflac Incorporated (NYSE: AFL) recently identified suspicious activity on its U.S. network on June 12, 2025. The company immediately initiated its cyber incident response protocols and stopped the intrusion within hours. Importantly, Aflac’s business operations remain unaffected, and its systems were not impacted by ransomware.

The cyber attack, attributed to a sophisticated cybercrime group targeting the insurance industry, involved social engineering tactics to gain unauthorized network access, according to preliminary findings. Aflac has engaged leading third-party cybersecurity experts to support its response and is reviewing potentially impacted files containing claims information, health information, social security numbers, and other personal data related to customers, beneficiaries, employees, and agents.

While the investigation is ongoing, Aflac is offering free credit monitoring, identity theft protection, and Medical Shield for 24 months to potentially affected individuals who contact its dedicated call center at 1-855-361-0305. The call center operates on a specified schedule through June, excluding major U.S. holidays.

Aflac remains committed to supporting its customers and stakeholders during this incident. The company will provide updates as the investigation progresses.
