UnderwriteMe has expanded its protection platform by integrating The Exeter’s life insurance product, enhancing advisers’ ability to access comprehensive quotes and benefit from multi-product discounts. The addition allows advisers to compare The Exeter’s Life cover with other insurers and products within a single interface, streamlining the process of finding suitable life insurance for clients.

Mark Cracknell, commercial director at UnderwriteMe, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting The Exeter’s commitment to innovation and adviser-centric design as aligning with UnderwriteMe’s goals. “We’re excited to welcome The Exeter Life product on the Protection Platform,” Cracknell said. “Their commitment to innovation and adviser-centric design aligns perfectly with our goal to streamline protection distribution and improve outcomes for customers.”

Jack Southcott, head of protection proposition at The Exeter, noted the partnership’s significance in making their life insurance more accessible. “We’re extremely pleased to make our life insurance more accessible to advisers and customers through this partnership, reflecting our commitment to both digital transformation and widening access to insurance,” Southcott explained. The Exeter’s new multi-benefit plans enable advisers to combine life and income protection products, continuing to provide life insurance to customers with pre-existing conditions who might otherwise struggle to secure coverage.

Rick Brough, sales manager at The Insurance Surgery, welcomed The Exeter’s Real-Life plan as a valuable addition to the protection platform. “Exeter’s Real-Life plan is a great addition to the protection platform,” Brough stated. “It’s good for clients, as those with higher loadings may still secure coverage at the point of sale without needing medical evidence.” Brough also noted that the integration should reduce pre-sales underwriting calls by utilizing the platform’s real-time underwriting tool, describing it as “a smart step for both companies.”
