Pocatello Insurance Firm Lauded for Second Year as Top 50 Performer
For the second time in two years, a Pocatello-based insurance company has been named one of the top performers in the country. Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho was named to Ward’s Top 50 Performers, which analyzes the financial performance of nearly 3,000 insurers nationwide in property and casualty insurance.

According to a release, companies that make the Ward’s list “must pass rigorous financial stability benchmarks and demonstrate consistent financial strength, operational efficiency and disciplined growth over a five-year period.” The 2025 ranking covers the years 2020-2024. Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho was also in the Top 50 in 2024.
“The financial performance of Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho over the past five years ranks in the top 2% of all property and casualty insurance companies in the U.S.,” said Todd Argall, president and CEO of the firm. “This incredible accomplishment reflects the extraordinary skill, teamwork and dedication of our employees and agents across both Idaho and Washington. Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho was founded in 1947 by Idaho farmers and ranchers, growing into the largest property-casualty insurer within the state over that time. In 2023, it expanded into Washington state as Western Community Insurance.
Ward’s Top 50 has been highlighting insurance companies for 32 years with its ranking. Ward’s is part of Aon, a company which advises clients on risk and human capital.
