Chubb Ltd. has appointed Ana Robic as the regional president of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective April 1st. The announcement, made on Wednesday, also includes the promotion of Melissa Scheffler to succeed Robic as division president of its personal lines business in North America.

Robic will take over from David Furby, who has been appointed executive chairman of Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In her new role, Robic will be responsible for Chubb’s European business, encompassing the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Chubb Global Markets, the Middle East, and Africa. She will report to Paul McNamee, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of Chubb Overseas General Insurance.
Robic, a 2016 Business Insurance Women To Watch honoree, was also named senior vice president of Chubb Group last year, in addition to her prior role as division president of North America personal risk services. She joined Chubb in 1999.
Melissa Scheffler, currently the chief operating officer of North America personal risk services, will now report to Juan Luis Ortega, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of Chubb North America. She will also assume the position of vice president of the Chubb Group.
