Fort Lauderdale’s luxury real estate market continues its upward trajectory with another significant transaction. Insurance executive Jeffrey Franzoni recently purchased a $17 million waterfront property in the prestigious Harbor Beach neighborhood.
Property records confirm that Franzoni, the principal of Synergy Insurance Marketing, and his wife, Shimera Franzoni, acquired the residence located at 2572 Mercedes Drive. The seller was a Florida-based LLC managed by Leonard Tarzia. Franzoni, also a realtor with Beachfront Realty, represented himself in the deal. Gregory Jaxtheimer of Florida Luxurious Properties managed the listing.
The property spans 7,600 square feet and boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, a pool, and a private dock. The site of the home originally cost $4 million in 2022. Construction of the luxury home was completed in 2023. The property was initially listed for $16 million in 2023, with the price increased twice in 2024 before the sale was finalized.
Franzoni has been a prominent figure in the insurance industry for over a decade. He leads Synergy Insurance Marketing, a Fort Lauderdale-based firm specializing in Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and final expense insurance. Additionally, the company offers contracts for life, disability, long-term care, and annuities. Prior to founding Synergy, Franzoni held roles as administrator and owner of Patient Care Home Health Services in Boca Raton, and as a Benefits Consultant for WellCare, where his focus was on strategic marketing and physician recruitment.
Luxury home sales in Fort Lauderdale have experienced significant price surges in recent years. Financier Donald Sussman set a record in September with a $70 million mansion sale. More recently, investors Viktor and Anto Pekic purchased a Coral Ridge Country Club waterfront home for $7.2 million, and software entrepreneur Miguel Zubizarreta sold a property for $8.8 million in December. Franzoni’s purchase further highlights the trend of high-net-worth individuals investing in the city’s luxury market, as Fort Lauderdale remains a top destination for affluent buyers seeking waterfront residences with premium amenities.
