Aflac Incorporated has been named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the 19th year in a row by Ethisphere, solidifying its position as a leader in ethical business practices. This marks the 19th consecutive year, from 2007 to 2025, that Aflac has received this prestigious recognition, setting it apart as the only insurance provider worldwide to consistently earn this honor.

This year’s list includes 136 honorees from 19 countries and 44 industries, demonstrating a broad commitment to ethical conduct across various sectors. Aflac’s inclusion reflects its dedication to ethical operations, which is showcased through various initiatives. These include substantial financial contributions to the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, with over $187 million donated since 1995, and the distribution of over 35,000 My Special Aflac Duck® robotic companions to children battling cancer and sickle cell disease.
“For the last 19 years Ethisphere has shone a bright light on the positive impact of being an ethical company, and I am honored that Aflac’s contributions have once again earned us a spot on their prestigious World’s Most Ethical Companies list,” said Aflac Chairman and CEO Dan Amos. “As a company that values purpose-driven profits, we know that being an industry leader is not enough. We must adhere to core values that build the trust of consumers, investors, our employees and our valued sales teams, which we have done for nearly 70 years.”
The recognition is based on Ethisphere’s Ethics Quotient®, which comprehensively evaluates companies across several key areas. These include ethics and compliance programs, effective governance structures, commitment to environmental and social responsibility, and the overall impact of their business practices. The 2025 honorees collectively demonstrated superior performance, outperforming a comparable index of global companies by 7.8 percentage points from January 2020 to January 2025, highlighting the tangible benefits of prioritizing ethical business practices.
Aflac’s commitment to core values is evident in programs designed to meet the needs of those they serve. The company’s commitment to the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, with more than $187 million donated since 1995, serves as a benchmark for corporate commitment. In addition, the award-winning My Special Aflac Duck® program, which provides robotic companions to children with cancer and sickle cell disease in the United States, Japan and Northern Ireland, further illustrates the values that the company strives to uphold.
