AMARILLO, Texas – The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of the Texas Panhandle is offering free seminars to help residents safeguard themselves and their families against identity theft.
The seminars are scheduled for two different times to accommodate varied schedules. The first will be held at the Amarillo Public Library’s Southwest 45th Avenue location on March 18th at 4:00 p.m. A second session is planned for March 20th at 9:00 a.m.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into identifying both established and emerging scams, learn how to protect their personal information both online and in the physical world, understand the steps to take if they become victims of identity theft, and discover resources available for ongoing support and assistance.
“Our goal is to equip individuals with tools to help prevent loss,” explained Janna Kiehl, President of the BBB. “Financial loss and the loss of personal information are incredibly difficult to recover from.”
Registration is mandatory for these free seminars. To RSVP, interested individuals can call (806) 379-6222.
