According to the Brand Finance Insurance 100 2025 ranking, Ping An Insurance has maintained its position as the most valuable insurance brand globally for the ninth consecutive year, with a brand value of $33.6 billion.

Nippon Life Insurance of Japan demonstrated the fastest growth, surging 94% to a brand value of $9.2 billion, driven by increased revenues and strategic acquisitions. In India, the combined brand value of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) and SBI Life increased by 35% year-on-year, reaching $14.9 billion.
LIC of India’s Impressive Performance
LIC’s brand value rose by 36% to $13.3 billion, securing the 12th position worldwide and earning recognition as the third strongest insurance brand globally. This was attributed to high scores in familiarity and appeal metrics within its home market. LIC achieved a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 87.9 out of 100.
SBI Life’s Strategic Diversification
SBI Life experienced a 27% increase in brand value, reaching $1.6 billion and moving up significantly in the rankings to 74th globally. This growth is connected to the company’s strategic product diversification, including the introduction of unit-linked plans, term insurance, and various annuity products designed to respond to changing customer needs.
