Starwind Specialty Names Executive Senior Underwriter
Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, a CRC Group company, appointed Joe Jones as executive senior underwriter within Starwind Transportation. Jones brings over two decades of experience in trucking and high-hazard insurance lines, formerly managing a fleet underwriting team at a major trucking Insurtech firm. He will report to regional director David Tooley and be based in Melbourne, Florida.
“I’m eager for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to contribute my expertise to a company with Starwind’s reputation,” Jones said. Tooley highlighted Jones’s experience in specialized insurance programs, emphasizing its alignment with Starwind’s strategic goals.
NFP Promotes Brian Bonnell
NFP, an Aon company, named Brian Bonnell as regional managing director for its West region property and casualty business. Previously serving as senior vice president of operations, Bonnell will oversee business development, client service, and team leadership. He will report to Michael Schneider, president of NFP’s central and west regions.
“Brian has been instrumental in developing our national P&C strategy,” Schneider said. Bonnell, who joined NFP in 2018 following a decade at Aon, expressed enthusiasm for his new role, highlighting the challenges and opportunities within the West region’s insurance market.
BHSI Expands Role of Anthony Tatulli
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) promoted Anthony Tatulli to head of liability, executive & professional (E&P) lines. Tatulli, who has led BHSI’s E&P Lines business since 2021, will now also oversee the company’s casualty and healthcare divisions, as well as customer and broker engagement in North America. Sanjay Godhwani, president of BHSI’s North America region, noted Tatulli’s successful expansion of E&P Lines, highlighting his potential to further strengthen BHSI’s liability portfolio.
Falvey Insurance Group Appoints Director
Falvey Insurance Group appointed Gina Perini to its board of directors, marking its first female board member. Lavins, currently president of Amwins Access, has played a key role in expanding the division’s revenue. Scott Purviance, CEO of Amwins, praised Lavins’s leadership in transforming Amwins Access. Nate Mathis will replace Lavins as president of Amwins Access, bringing experience from Amwins’ London office.
