Allianz Ireland’s Innovative Pet Insurance Campaign

Dublin, Ireland – In a heartwarming campaign, Allianz Ireland partnered with Forsman & Bodenfors Dublin to demonstrate the practical value of pet insurance. The initiative, known as The Allianz Pet Project, focused on assisting pet owners facing financial hardship due to unexpected veterinary costs.

The cost of emergency veterinary care can quickly become substantial, with many claims exceeding €750 and a significant number surpassing €1000. Faced with such expenses, many pet owners turn to crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe to cover these costs.

On March 25th, 2025, Allianz Ireland took action. The company identified and completed the remaining fundraising targets of several pet-related GoFundMe campaigns across Ireland. This provided immediate relief to pet owners struggling to afford essential care for their animals.

Following the campaign’s completion, Allianz shared the stories of the relieved pet owners and their animals on social media. The content highlighted the contrast between the stress of crowdfunding and the peace of mind offered by pet insurance.

Mark Brennan, Head of Marketing at Allianz, stated, “The cost of veterinary care can be overwhelming, and many struggle to afford life-saving treatment for their pets. To show what an Allianz pet insurance policy could do to help in situations like these, we stepped in and completed GoFundMe targets all across Ireland.”

Damian Hanley, Executive Creative Director at Forsman & Bodenfors Dublin, added, “Allianz has been an incredible partner over the years, and this relationship has driven the ambition for work that is both innovative and effective. The Allianz Pet Project is another step on that journey and a testament to that shared ambition. We’re very proud to bring this idea to life.”

This campaign is a testament to Allianz’s commitment to its customers and a clever way to illustrate the vital role of pet insurance.
