Industry Experts Bolster Construction and Claims Management in Recent Appointments

AM Specialty Insurance Company and Brown & Riding have announced key executive appointments, reflecting a strategic focus on strengthening their operational capabilities and market presence within the insurance sector.

AM Specialty Insurance Company Names New Head of Claims

AM Specialty Insurance Company (ASIC) has appointed Stefanie Milch, Esq., as its new head of claims. Milch brings over 25 years of experience in legal and leadership roles. She will be responsible for overseeing ASIC’s claims operations, including developing and implementing claims strategies across a range of business lines. Milch is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut and has held senior claims management positions at several major insurance carriers and service providers.

Her expertise spans commercial auto liability, general liability, real estate, construction defect, healthcare, executive and professional liability, and aviation. She has successfully led claims teams and implemented operational frameworks that include guidelines, metrics, and best practices designed to enhance efficiency and financial performance. The appointment aligns with AM Specialty’s broader client-focused risk management strategy.

Brown & Riding Expands Leadership in National Construction Practice

In a separate development, Brown & Riding has named George Sella as co-leader of its National Construction Practice. Sella will partner with Chris Brown, the firm’s chairman and national casualty and construction practice leader, to lead the business unit. Sella, who has more than 15 years of industry experience, became a principal at Brown & Riding in 2015. In his expanded leadership role, he will work to further align the construction group’s operations into a unified, multi-disciplinary practice serving clients across the US.

Brown said Sella’s appointment supports the firm’s strategic direction and “its investment in leadership with sector-specific expertise.”
