The Life Insurance Association, Singapore (LIA Singapore) has appointed its new Management Committee for the 2025–2026 term, with Wong Sze Keed of AIA Singapore taking over as President. She succeeds Dennis Tan in the role.
Chan San San of Prudential Assurance and Greg Hingston of Great Eastern Life have been elected as Deputy Presidents. Andrew Yeo from Income Insurance will serve as Secretary, and Harpreet Bindra of HSBC Life has been appointed Treasurer. The committee also includes representatives from Manulife Singapore, Singapore Life, and Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore.
Wong has outlined key priorities for the upcoming year, notably focusing on enhancing financial literacy, and streamlining legacy planning and claims processes. Other objectives include strengthening trust within the sector and supporting a sustainable healthcare ecosystem.
To assist with legacy planning, the association plans to publish consolidated resources in the second quarter of 2025. They will also update their “Nomination of Insurance Nominees” guide to reflect the implementation of electronic beneficiary nominations.
