Kyobo Life Insurance announced on March 28th the launch of “Plogging Over Flowers,” a volunteer initiative for executives and employees. This program combines historical and cultural experiences with environmental protection efforts.
Participants will walk along historical and cultural trails once a month, listen to a cultural commentator’s insights on local heritage, and collect trash along the way. The initiative, which began in 2023, has seen enthusiastic participation from over 1,000 people annually, including executives and employees.
This year, the program expands its reach, with the number of courses increasing from 27 in Seoul and six metropolitan cities in 2023, to 36 last year, and a total of 43 courses planned for this year.
“Plogging Over Flowers” also aligns with community environmental improvement projects. Since last year, Kyobo Life Insurance has worked with Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, on the “Kyobo Life-Metasequire Forest Road” project, with plans for gradual expansion by 2028. Participants plant Metasequoia trees in Jungnangcheon, Seoul, as part of their involvement. So far, 100 trees have been planted.

Kyobo Life Insurance is promoting environmental protection along with its volunteer activities.
