Prudential Indonesia Honors Agency Partners for Insurance Literacy Efforts
Prudential Indonesia recently recognized its outstanding agency business partners through the Prudential Agency Awards Night held in Jakarta. The company expressed gratitude to these partners for their significant contribution to enhancing insurance literacy and inclusion in Indonesia.

Rusli Chan, Prudential Indonesia’s chief agency officer, emphasized the crucial role agency business partners play in expanding insurance literacy and inclusion. “We believe that agency business partners are vital in broadening the reach of insurance literacy and inclusion in Indonesia. That’s why we continue to support them through training, latest technology, and appreciation,” Rusli stated.
The awards ceremony was part of Prudential Indonesia’s strategy to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem centered on financial protection. The company also provides development programs to equip these agencies with the necessary skills, enabling them to contribute to creating a financially resilient Indonesian society.
According to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) 2022 report, Indonesia’s insurance literacy index was only 31.72%, with an inclusion rate of 16.63%. These figures are significantly lower compared to the country’s banking literacy and inclusion rates, which stood at 49.93% and 74.03%, respectively.
Prudential Indonesia aims to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in the country through its agency business partner scheme. Rusli noted that this profession not only offers business opportunities but also has a positive social impact through financial education.
The company hopes that by highlighting the achievements of its outstanding agency business partners, it can inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Apart from travel rewards, media exposure is expected to motivate other agency business partners to maintain high service standards for their customers.
“Prudential Indonesia applauds the professionalism of agency business partners who have maintained the quality of their services. This aligns with our spirit as a trusted partner and protector for current and future generations,” Rusli concluded.
