Acrisure Re Announces Key Hires in London
Acrisure Re, the re/insurance division of global fintech firm Acrisure, has expanded its Corporate Advisory & Solutions (ARCAS) division with several key appointments in its London office. These strategic hires are designed to strengthen the company’s capabilities in funds at Lloyd’s (FAL), pricing, exposure management, and retrospective solutions.
Lauren Johnson has rejoined the ARCAS London team, taking on the role of Head of Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL). She will be responsible for leading the division’s growing FAL function. Johnson previously served as a Vice President at ARCAS, joining in 2021 after a six-year tenure at Securis Investment Partners, where she was Head of Lloyd’s and specialty analytics. Her return follows an 18-month period at Wakam.
Assad Negyal has been appointed as Head of Pricing, bringing extensive experience as a pricing actuary to the team. Based in London, Negyal joined ARCAS in January, following a role at Starr Insurance as a Senior Pricing Actuary. His previous experience includes pricing roles at Chubb Europe, Zurich Financial Services, Barbican, Odyssey Re, and Lloyd’s.
David Ryan joined ARCAS in late 2024 as Head of Exposure Management, also based in London. He brings over 15 years of expertise in exposure management, having held similar roles at Talbot, Lloyd’s, and Willis Re.
Lucas He joined the London office in February as Vice President, Retrospective Solutions. He will focus on supporting the retrospective solutions offerings. He’s background includes several years of legacy and M&A experience, most recently as Vice President in R&Q’s M&A division. He also held legacy M&A and actuarial specialist roles at Catalina and corporate development and M&A roles at Antares Reinsurance and JLT.
Acrisure Re’s ARCAS division provides services across four primary areas: advisory, capital, legacy, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Alex Orloff was recently appointed as Managing Director of ARCAS North America in a previous expansion.
All new hires within the ARCAS division will report to Ben Canagaretna, the unit’s Global Managing Director.
Canagaretna noted that ARCAS continues to identify significant opportunities in the Lloyd’s Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL) market and that the division has grown to be one of the largest managers of third-party funds at Lloyd’s.
