Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has completed the acquisition of Philpacific Insurance Brokers & Managers, Inc. (Philinsure), a Philippines-based commercial insurance and reinsurance broker. The deal follows a previous minority investment in the company.
Philinsure, headquartered in Cebu City, operates with offices in greater Manila and Davao City. The acquisition is set to enhance Gallagher’s retail brokerage presence in Asia, according to J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., the company’s chairman and CEO.
Gordon Joseph and his team at Philinsure will continue to lead operations. Sarah Lyons will oversee the operations under her role overseeing Gallagher’s retail property and casualty brokerage business in Australia and Asia.
