In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan’s insurance industry demonstrated robust growth, with total premiums rising by 7 percent to reach 399.1 million manat ($234.7 million). Notably, life insurance premiums experienced a significant surge, increasing by 16.2 percent to total 168.5 million manat ($99.42 million). Concurrently, insurance payouts also witnessed a 7 percent growth, amounting to 164 million manat ($96.4 million). This growth in both premiums and payouts underscores the expanding role of the insurance sector in Azerbaijan’s economy during the period.
