CARSTAR Strengthens Ties with Insurance Community at Ottawa Event
CARSTAR recently attended the 2025 Ottawa Insurance Brokers Association (OIBA) open house at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, connecting with insurance professionals from across Eastern Ontario. The event provided an opportunity for relationship building, industry insight, and community engagement.
The CARSTAR Arnprior team, including owner Mike Mulder, manager Laura Trousdale, and customer service representative Christine McManaman, represented the banner alongside managers from CARSTAR Hunt Club. “Our team was proud to stand alongside our insurance partners and fellow franchisees at this year’s OIBA Open House,” said Mulder. “Events like this give us a great opportunity to strengthen relationships with the broker community and reinforce how collaboration benefits our mutual customers.”

Collin Welsh, senior director of CARSTAR Canada, emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “This event is a fantastic example of the close ties between our network and the insurance industry. We’re proud to support the OIBA and continue working alongside insurance brokers to deliver trusted, high-quality repair solutions for drivers throughout Eastern Ontario.”
The OIBA represents over 500 independent insurance brokers across Eastern Ontario, providing business resources, educational opportunities, and networking connections. The event featured educational presentations on topics such as commercial risk management and protection for classic vehicles.
By participating in the OIBA open house, CARSTAR demonstrated its commitment to service excellence and strong partnerships within the collision repair industry. The event highlighted the banner’s dedication to collaborating with insurance professionals to benefit their mutual customers.
