CRC Group has announced the appointment of Matt Zelenc as Senior Vice President within its CRC Specialty’s ExecPro and Healthcare Practice Groups.
Based in Chicago, Zelenc will oversee the expansion of management liability, healthcare, and cyber coverage for CRC Group. His role will also involve spearheading the company’s growth in Kansas City.
In his new position, Zelenc will lead a team specializing in management and professional lines of coverage. This includes healthcare services, private company management liability, and cyber liability. Zelenc brings over two decades of industry experience to CRC Group, with previous work at retail agencies and carriers nationwide. Before joining CRC Group, he served as a senior vice president at a wholesale brokerage firm, focusing on management and professional lines. He also held a position as an underwriting specialist focusing on management and professional liability. Zelenc began his career with CRC Group as an in-house broker in Chicago.
This hiring is a key element of CRC Group’s strategy aimed at expanding its expertise in specialty areas. It also underscores the firm’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Midwest, particularly through its new Kansas City office.
Earlier this month, CRC Group revealed a strategic rebrand to unify its operations and solidify its position as an independent wholesale and underwriting firm. As part of this transition, the TIH brand was retired and replaced by CRC Group. Under this new structure, CRC Group will operate through two divisions: Specialty + Benefits and Underwriting.
In February, the brokerage expanded its team with four new professionals. Ryan Simpson, Raegan Root, and Jessica Calaya joined the Denver office, and Pierre LePage joined the Illinois office. In January, CRC Group appointed Andrew Grim as a Senior Vice President within its national construction practice group. Grim is based in Texas.
