CrowdStrike Enhances Hybrid Identity Protection with Falcon Identity Protection for Microsoft Entra ID
AUSTIN, Texas–CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) has announced the general availability of CrowdStrike Falcon Identity Protection for Microsoft Entra ID, setting a new standard in identity security across hybrid environments. This release extends CrowdStrike’s comprehensive identity protection to include cloud-based Microsoft Entra ID, in addition to its existing coverage of on-premises Active Directory (AD) and SaaS applications.

The CrowdStrike Falcon platform unifies real-time prevention with advanced identity threat detection and response (ITDR), securing the entire identity attack lifecycle from initial access to lateral movement across hybrid environments. With 75% of initial access attacks now being malware-free, and adversaries increasingly exploiting trusted identities, this unified approach is critical.
“Identity is at the center of modern cyberattacks, yet organizations are forced to secure it with fragmented solutions that leave dangerous gaps,” said Elia Zaitsev, chief technology officer at CrowdStrike. “CrowdStrike delivers unified, real-time protection across every area of hybrid environments—stopping adversaries at every stage of the attack.”
Key features of Falcon Identity Protection for Entra ID include:
- Real-time protection against identity threats such as password spraying and phishing
- Unified identity and endpoint security through integration with Microsoft’s External Authentication Method (EAM)
- Hybrid risk-based conditional access controls that can block or dynamically inject MFA based on real-time threats
“As organizations adopt hybrid environments, security must evolve just as fast,” said Paul Colon, security engineer at Addition Financial. “CrowdStrike continues to innovate Falcon Identity Protection, providing seamless, real-time security across both on-premises and cloud-based systems.”
This release builds on CrowdStrike’s leadership in cybersecurity, leveraging advanced AI and threat intelligence to protect critical enterprise areas including endpoints, cloud workloads, identity, and data. The CrowdStrike Falcon platform provides hyper-accurate detections, automated protection, and prioritized vulnerability observability through its cloud-native architecture.
