CrowdStrike Enhances Identity Security with Falcon Privileged Access
CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) has announced the general availability of Falcon® Privileged Access, a new module within Falcon® Identity Protection. This innovation unifies privileged access controls across hybrid environments, making the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform the only solution to secure the entire identity attack lifecycle – from initial access to privilege escalation and lateral movement.
The new module is part of CrowdStrike’s ongoing effort to combat identity-based attacks, which have become increasingly sophisticated. Seventy-nine percent of initial access attacks are malware-free, with adversaries exploiting trusted identities to infiltrate organizations undetected. Groups like SCATTERED SPIDER use stolen credentials and social engineering tactics to gain unauthorized access.
Falcon Privileged Access addresses these threats by eliminating standing privileges and making real-time, risk-aware access decisions. It analyzes user behavior and privilege status using real-time signals from endpoints, threat intelligence, and advanced AI trained on trillions of security events. Key features include:
- Just-in-Time Privileged Access: Eliminates standing privileges by dynamically granting and revoking access based on real-time risk assessments.
- Agentic Detection Triage for Identity-Based Attacks: Charlotte AI Agentic Detection Triage autonomously triages cross-domain attack detections with over 98% accuracy to prioritize critical threats.
- Unified Identity Security and Next-Gen SIEM: Combines Falcon Identity Protection and Falcon Next-Gen SIEM to detect and prioritize identity-based threats in real-time, with automated response capabilities through Falcon Fusion SOAR.
To further support customers, CrowdStrike has introduced CrowdStrike Pulse Services, an expert-led engagement program designed to reduce active risk and accelerate security program maturity. This includes cloud configuration assessments, identity policy reviews, and identity threat protection optimization.
