CTF Life Launches ‘GBA MediAccess’ Outpatient Insurance Plan
HONG KONG, March 24, 2025 – CTF Life announced the launch of its ‘GBA MediAccess’ Outpatient Insurance Plan (‘GBA MediAccess’ or ‘the Plan’). Tailored for individuals who frequently travel between Hong Kong, Macau, and specific cities within the Greater Bay Area (GBA), the plan offers convenient and quality medical services. This is achieved by leveraging the extensive medical network of The GBA Healthcare Group (GBAH), a member of Chow Tai Fook (CTF) Enterprises. The new insurance plan aims to meet the evolving healthcare needs of families in the region.
By tapping into the diverse resources of the CTF Group, CTF Life is focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating value beyond insurance. Notably, CTF Life is the first insurer to collaborate with GBAH to offer traditional Chinese medical outpatient consultations. There are three plan levels available, providing coverage in Hong Kong, Macau, and selected GBA cities. The plan provides market-first coverage for both Western and traditional Chinese medical practitioner outpatient consultations, dental scaling, and health management services for the customer and up to two designated family members.
The ‘GBA MediAccess’ plan provides a comprehensive suite of services. These encompass online and offline general practitioner outpatient consultations that may include up to three days of prescribed basic medication. It also covers traditional Chinese medical outpatient consultations, dental scaling, and two value-added services focused on proactive health and chronic disease management. This comprehensive approach aims to address the needs of customers and their families, including health screening, continuous monitoring, and health education. This provides them with reliable, affordable, and accessible healthcare management, providing peace of mind as they travel throughout the GBA.
CTF Life and GBAH formed a strategic partnership in early 2024, creating a tripartite alliance with the 3A hospitals in the GBA under GBAH’s network to deliver one-stop premium medical services. This collaboration aims to increase medical efficiency, reduce healthcare costs, and improve the customer service experience. This deepened partnership actively supports the Hong Kong SAR government’s efforts to develop the GBA by providing high-quality medical services to customers who travel frequently across the region.

Key features of the plan
- Family Coverage: The plan offers coverage for the customer and up to two designated family members, providing comprehensive health protection across families.
- Outpatient Consultations: Both online and offline general practitioner outpatient consultations. The insured and designated family members can receive up to three days’ supply of basic medication with free delivery for online consultations. Three plan levels are available.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine and Dental Services: Upon referral by a GOLDTM doctor, customers can access traditional Chinese medical treatments at designated clinics in the GBA. The plan also covers annual dental scaling.
- Health Management Services: Proactive health management services include an evaluation of a patient’s family medical history by GOLDTM doctors. It also offers chronic disease management programs.
