CTF Life Unveils Innovative ‘GBA MediAccess’ Outpatient Insurance Plan for Families
HONG KONG SAR – March 24, 2025 – CTF Life has launched its ‘GBA MediAccess’ Outpatient Insurance Plan, a new insurance offering designed for individuals who frequently travel between Hong Kong, Macau, and designated cities within the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
By partnering with The GBA Healthcare Group (GBAH), a member of Chow Tai Fook (CTF) Enterprises, CTF Life aims to provide convenient, high-quality medical services. The plan leverages the CTF Group’s diverse resources, offering value and comprehensive healthcare solutions. A notable aspect of this plan is that CTF Life is the first insurer to collaborate with GBAH to offer traditional Chinese medicine outpatient consultations, representing a market-first approach to family coverage.
The ‘GBA MediAccess’ plan is available in three tiers, with coverage spanning the aforementioned GBA cities*, Hong Kong, and Macau. It features market-first coverage for outpatient consultations with both Western and traditional Chinese medical practitioners, along with dental scaling and health management services for the policyholder and up to two family members. The plan encompasses a full suite of services, including online and offline general practitioner consultations with up to three days of prescribed basic medication, traditional Chinese medicine outpatient consultations, dental scaling, and two value-added health management services focused on proactive health and chronic disease management.
This comprehensive solution caters to the healthcare needs of customers and their families, covering areas from health screenings and continuous monitoring to health education, providing accessible and reliable healthcare management. This sets a foundation for personal and family wellness, allowing customers to travel within the GBA with greater peace of mind.
CTF Life and GBAH formed a strategic partnership in early 2024. This collaboration brings together the 3A hospitals within the GBAH network to deliver premium, one-stop medical services. This partnership improves medical efficiency and reduces costs, enhancing the customer service experience and supporting the Hong Kong SAR government’s initiatives to develop the GBA by providing high-quality healthcare to frequent regional travelers.

Key Features of the Plan
- Market-first1 Family Coverage: The plan includes the policyholder plus up to two family members, providing comprehensive health protection and medical support for daily life.
- Online and Offline General Practitioner Consultations: Customers have access to both in-person and online consultations, with up to a three-day supply of prescribed basic medication with free delivery via online consultations. Face-to-face outpatient consultations cover the specific cities within the GBA, along with Hong Kong and Macau, provided by the plan.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine and Dental Services: Clients can get traditional Chinese medical treatments at designated clinics within the medical network, as well as receive dental scaling and dental care services. Dental services are offered yearly.
- Health Management Value-Added Services:
- Proactive Health Management: Conducted by GOLDTM doctors and nurses from GBAH, this service includes an evaluation of family medical history, the setting of annual health targets, and recommendations for a healthier lifestyle. Follow-up consultations are available.
- Chronic Disease Management: Experienced medical professionals from GBAH will provide education about chronic disease prevention.
