CTF Life Unveils ‘GBA MediAccess’ Outpatient Insurance Plan, Catering to Cross-Border Healthcare Needs

HONG KONG SAR – CTF Life announced the launch of its ‘GBA MediAccess’ Outpatient Insurance Plan on March 24, 2025. This plan is specifically designed for individuals who frequently travel between Hong Kong, Macau, and designated cities within the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Leveraging the extensive medical network of The GBA Healthcare Group (GBAH), a member of Chow Tai Fook (CTF) Enterprises, the ‘GBA MediAccess’ plan aims to provide convenient, high-quality medical services. CTF Life is the first insurer to partner with GBAH to offer traditional Chinese medical outpatient consultations, highlighting the company’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences.

    Comprehensive Coverage for Families

Available in three plan levels, ‘GBA MediAccess’ covers designated GBA cities, Hong Kong, and Macau. It offers market-first coverage for the insured and up to two family members, encompassing both Western and traditional Chinese medical practitioner outpatient consultations, dental scaling, and health management services. This approach offers a one-stop solution for families.

The plan provides a wide array of services, including:

    • Online and offline general practitioner consultations, including up to three days of prescribed basic medication.
    • Traditional Chinese medical consultations.
    • Dental scaling services.
    • Value-added services for proactive health management and chronic disease management.

This comprehensive suite of services addresses a range of family needs, from health screenings to ongoing health education, creating a basis for personal and family health well-being, assuring peace of mind to its customers as they travel within the GBA.

    Strategic Partnerships and Innovation

Since early 2024, CTF Life has collaborated with GBAH and the network’s 3A hospitals. This partnership aims to enhance medical efficiency, reduce healthcare costs, and improve the customer experience.

According to Jarita Kwan, Chief Product Officer of CTF Life, the ‘GBA MediAccess’ plan reflects the growing demand for healthcare coverage across the GBA. Kwan stated, “The plan is designed to meet the evolving needs of our customers, including the increasing preference for integrated Chinese and Western medical treatments.” She emphasized CTF Life’s goal to provide people-centric financial support and creating value beyond insurance.

Dr. Felix Lee, Co-CEO of The GBA Healthcare Group, noted that the collaboration with CTF Life is designed to address the evolving lifestyles in the GBA. Through ‘GBA MediAccess,’ customers can access a range of healthcare services, including general practice consultations, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and chronic disease management, coupled with cross-border direct billing options.

    Key Features of ‘GBA MediAccess’

The plan offers several key features:

    1. Family Coverage: The plan provides coverage for the customer and up to two family members.
