CTF Life Unveils ‘GBA MediAccess’ to Serve Greater Bay Area Travelers

HONG KONG, March 24, 2025 – CTF Life has announced the launch of its ‘GBA MediAccess’ Outpatient Insurance Plan, specifically geared towards customers who frequently travel between Hong Kong, Macau, and designated cities within the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The plan capitalizes on the extensive medical network of The GBA Healthcare Group (GBAH), a part of Chow Tai Fook (CTF) Enterprises, to deliver accessible, high-quality healthcare services.

By utilizing the resources of the CTF Group, CTF Life aims to enhance customer experiences and provide added value beyond conventional insurance. Notably, CTF Life is the first insurer to collaborate with GBAH in offering traditional Chinese medical outpatient consultations. The plan is available in three tiers, covering designated GBA cities, along with Hong Kong and Macau. It provides innovative market-first coverage for both Western and traditional Chinese medical outpatient consultations, plus dental scaling and value-added health management services for the insured and up to two family members.

This comprehensive plan encompasses various services, including both online and offline general practitioner consultations, with the option of up to three days’ worth of prescribed basic medication. It also includes traditional Chinese medical consultations, dental scaling, and two value-added services centered on proactive health management and chronic disease management. This one-stop solution addresses the needs of customers and their families by offering health screening, continuous monitoring, and health education, ensuring reliable, affordable, and easily accessible healthcare management. This establishes a foundational element for personal and family health within the GBA.

CTF Life forged a strategic partnership with GBAH in early 2024, establishing a collaborative effort with the GBAH network’s 3A hospitals for all-inclusive premium medical services. This improves medical efficiency, lowers healthcare costs, and enhances the overall customer service experience. Further intensifying the partnership, this collaboration actively supports the Hong Kong SAR government’s efforts to develop the GBA by offering superior-quality medical services to frequent regional travelers.

Jarita Kwan, Chief Product Officer of CTF Life, noted, “Given the GBA’s rapid growth, there’s a growing requirement for healthcare coverage across the region. ‘GBA MediAccess’ is designed to align with our customers’ evolving lifestyles and the rising appeal of integrated Chinese and Western medical treatments. It provides GBA residents and their families access to the CTF Group’s diverse conglomerate, offering premier Chinese and Western healthcare services through GBAH.”

Dr. Felix Lee, Co-CEO of The GBA Healthcare Group, added, “Our deepened collaboration with CTF Life strategically addresses the evolving cross-border lifestyles and retirement needs in the GBA, while pioneering the integration of insurance and healthcare innovation. Through ‘GBA MediAccess,’ customers and their families can book appointments with internationally accredited GOLDTM-certified family doctors, accessing a suite of healthcare services.”

Key Features of the ‘GBA MediAccess’ Plan

    • Family Coverage: The plan extends coverage to the customer and up to two designated family members, offering comprehensive health protection and medical support. Market-first features include coverage across both Western and traditional Chinese medical outpatient consultations along with dental scaling and health management value-added services.

    • Outpatient Consultation Services: The plan includes online and offline consultations with general practitioners.

      • Customers can receive up to a three-day supply of prescribed basic medication along with free delivery, exclusively for online consultations.
    • Traditional Chinese Medicine and Dental Services: Customers can also access traditional Chinese medical treatments at designated clinics within the network and dental scaling services annually.

    • Value-Added Health Management Services: The plan provides proactive health management conducted by GOLDTM doctors and nurses from GBAH and a chronic disease management program.
