Davies Names Dhara Patel as CEO of North America
Davies, a professional services and technology company serving the insurance and regulated markets, has announced the promotion of Dhara Patel to CEO of Davies North America. Patel’s appointment follows the promotion of her predecessor, Matt Button, to group deputy CEO earlier this year.
In her new role, Patel will oversee operations and sales teams across the U.S. and Canada, managing an annual revenue of nearly $500 million. Davies’ North American operations encompass claims administration, actuarial services, and risk management for insurers, brokers, MGAs, Lloyd’s Syndicates, captives, corporations, and the public sector.
Patel will work alongside Button and group CEO Dan Saulter to lead the implementation of Davies’ agentic AI technology across its claims processing platforms, aiming to improve efficiency and service delivery. She will also be responsible for client service and will continue efforts to expand Davies’ capabilities and solutions throughout the region.
Patel brings 25 years of experience in insurance claims and professional services to the position. She has held senior leadership roles, including serving as services segment president at Brown & Brown. From 2022 to 2023, she was president of the International Association of Claims Professionals (IACP).
Patel joined Davies in 2023 after the company acquired ACM, USIS, PGCS, and ICA.
“We have much to look forward to in the coming year as we launch new technology, build upon our national service offering across the US, and expand our capabilities across the North American region,” Patel commented.
The announcement aligns with Davies’ Vision-2030 strategy, spearheaded by Saulter. The strategy aims to grow annual global revenue to between £2.5 billion and £3.0 billion over the next five years. The strategy encompasses investments in four key areas: technology and AI, organic growth and cross-selling, geographical and solution expansion, and operational improvements.
Last year, Davies appointed Amber Wilkinson as group CFO, succeeding Tony Debiase. The company also named Paul O’Brien as group chief AI officer, who will oversee the development and launch of technology products for the company.
