EmPRO Insurance Company, a licensed medical professional liability insurance provider serving physicians and healthcare facilities, has announced the opening of its Boston office, marking its first presence in Massachusetts. This significant expansion into the New England market underscores EmPRO’s commitment to becoming a key player in medical malpractice insurance across the Northeast Region, following previous entries into New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

The company’s expansion is driven by its experienced leadership, including Michael Miller, Vice President of Underwriting, Brian Kriger, Vice President of Business Development, and Bruce Shula, Vice President of Claims. Michael Kubik, President of EmPRO, highlighted the company’s enthusiasm about joining the Boston-based Coverys organization, where he will serve as Vice President of Underwriting.

“We are thrilled to join EmPRO at such a pivotal moment in its growth journey,” said Kubik. “This opportunity allows me to leverage my extensive experience and local market knowledge to contribute to EmPRO’s ongoing evolution into a prominent regional player.”

EmPRO’s strategic expansion into the Northeast Region is built on its core principles of relationships, responsiveness, and expertise. The company has brought valuable underwriting resources to the highly competitive market, driven by notable industry experts. Kubik and Kriger bring over 30 years of industry experience in marketing and new business development at both national and regional levels, having worked with notable insurance companies such as MedAdvantage, Gallagher Bassett, and Coverys. Kriger has more than 30 years of expertise in medical professional liability underwriting, holding various senior roles throughout his career.

“In an industry where broken and insured relationships are often undervalued, EmPRO is committed to focusing on what truly matters—strong relationships and exceptional service,” said Kubik. “Our proven track record of successfully developing territories and driving profitable growth speaks for itself, and we look forward to continuing to build on that foundation.”

EmPRO’s expansion into Massachusetts introduces valuable underwriting resources to the local market, driven by industry experts with extensive experience. The company’s strategic approach revolves around four core principles that shape its offering: strong relationships, responsiveness, expertise, and flexibility. With a strong commitment to personalized service, EmPRO enters the Massachusetts market with immediate credibility, backed by its notable leadership team and comprehensive industry expertise.

EmPRO is a licensed medical professional liability insurance company dedicated to protecting physicians and healthcare facilities. The company is managed by PRMI, a leading reciprocal insurer focused on providing tailored insurance solutions for healthcare professionals.
