Everest Insurance International Consolidates Specialty Operations
Everest Insurance International has consolidated its specialty insurance operations into a single business unit, combining lines across its marine, aviation, energy & construction, cyber, and industry practices. Paul Trueman, who joined Everest in 2022 as head of aviation, has been appointed to lead this new unit.

Trueman brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new role, having held senior positions with global insurers in London and the Asia-Pacific region. Since joining Everest, he has contributed significantly to expanding the company’s aviation footprint and enhancing underwriting performance across specialty classes.
“We’re strengthening our investment in the growing specialty market with integrated solutions and expertise to serve complex risks,” said Jason Keen, co-head of International Insurance at Everest. “Paul’s deep market knowledge, collaborative leadership, and understanding of specialty risk position him well to lead our next growth phase.”
The consolidated specialty insurance business spans more than 115 countries and includes commercial and specialty lines across over 115 countries. It includes coverage in accident and health, casualty, property, and structured programs, in addition to specialty risk offerings.
This restructuring aims to streamline decision-making and foster collaboration across underwriting teams, aligning with Everest’s recent formation of a global specialties practice in its reinsurance division. In early 2024, Everest Re appointed a global head to oversee reinsurance lines such as aviation, marine, cyber, engineering, and parametric solutions.
The unified specialty business is expected to support Everest’s continued growth in international insurance markets. Everest Group, headquartered in Bermuda and part of the S&P 500, has operated for over five decades, expanding its global presence through disciplined underwriting and strategic investments.
