Excellent Ceramics Group, a prominent manufacturer of tiles and sanitaryware in Bangladesh, has entered into an agreement with MetLife to provide insurance benefits to its employees. The announcement, made in a press release, details a contract that will offer comprehensive insurance coverage, encompassing life insurance, accident and disability coverage, and assistance with hospital expenses.

This strategic alliance will extend insurance benefits to over 870 employees of Excellent Ceramics Group. The decision to select MetLife was based on the insurer’s custom insurance solutions, its reputation for swift claim processing, and the company’s financial stability.

Abdul Hakim (Sumon), Managing Director of Excellent Ceramic Group, and Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Director and Head of Employee Benefits at MetLife Bangladesh, formalized the agreement at the MetLife Bangladesh Head Office.

Imran Ahmed, Executive Director of Excellent Ceramic Group, and Md Nahidur Rahman, Deputy Manager and HR of the company, were also in attendance. The MetLife Bangladesh Employee Benefits team, including Monirul Islam, Assistant Director; Mushfiqur Raihan, Assistant Director; and S M Shahriaz Arafat, Manager, were also present. Excellent Ceramics Group has been a well-known name in sanitaryware since 2010 and tiles since 2021.

MetLife currently provides insurance protection to over 300,000 employees and their dependents across more than 940 organizations within Bangladesh. In 2024 alone, MetLife disbursed approximately BDT 2,895 crore in insurance claims to its policyholders, highlighting its financial strength and commitment to its clients.
