Fidelity Life Assurance’s Outlook Remains Stable, Boosted by Capital
AM Best has assessed Fidelity Life Assurance’s (New Zealand) outlook as stable. This positive assessment is supported by the company’s strong capital position and consistent operating performance.
As of June 30th of the previous year, Fidelity Life Assurance’s risk-adjusted capitalisation reached the strongest level, according to Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR). AM Best anticipates that Fidelity Life Assurance will sustain its adequate operating performance, even with increased expenses resulting from investments in system infrastructure and the acquisition of Westpac Life-NZ-Limited.
In fiscal year 2024, the company reported a return on equity of 5.9% and a net investment yield of 5.6%. These figures are expected to remain steady in the medium term.
