Figo Pet Insurance has announced that it has now surpassed 200,000 pet insurance policies. The company was established in 2013 and was later acquired by Independence Pet Group in 2021, in a deal valued at approximately $250 million. In 2023, Figo generated $77 million in written premiums for Independence American Insurance Company.
“Figo’s mission was to simplify pet insurance and help pet owners make vet care more accessible. We are very pleased to support more than two hundred thousand pets. Our emphasis is on creating a setting where people can focus on their pets without being concerned about the financial aspect of care. We are proud of the fact that we have reimbursed over $80 million in vet bills to our customers.” said Tom Bean, VP of Insurance Services Operations at Figo Pet Insurance.
