FUW Insurance Expands into Commercial Market with New Division
FUW Insurance Services Limited has launched FUW Commercial, a new division aimed at serving businesses across north Wales. The new venture will initially focus on companies along the A55 corridor, offering insurance products across various sectors including haulage, construction, hospitality, and retail.
This expansion marks a significant shift for FUW Insurance Services, which has traditionally served agricultural clients. The new division broadens their offerings to include commercial enterprises, providing access to a range of insurance products such as property, vehicle, liability, and business continuity coverage.
Esther Richards Dip CII, who has been with FUW Insurance Services since 2013, will lead the new operation. Richards expressed her excitement about prioritizing the insurance needs of businesses and commercial outlets in the region. The launch of FUW Commercial is part of the Farmers’ Union of Wales’ strategy to grow its insurance operations beyond its core agricultural base, coinciding with the union’s 70th anniversary.
Guto Bebb, Group CEO of the Farmers’ Union of Wales, highlighted that Esther’s specialized knowledge in commercial insurance enabled the development of this new brand. FUW Commercial will operate as a separate business line while sharing operational support with the wider FUW Insurance Services team. The company plans to potentially expand to additional regions based on client demand.
The establishment of FUW Commercial demonstrates FUW Insurance Services’ commitment to developing its brand and serving businesses in Wales who require insurance coverage. By leveraging local knowledge and sector-specific expertise, supported by their established broker network, FUW Commercial is positioning itself as a regional provider capable of meeting the diverse insurance needs of commercial enterprises in north Wales.
