Zurich North America has appointed Heather Fox to lead its U.S. National Accounts business, replacing Paul Lavelle who is retiring on June 1. Peter Caminiti has been promoted to chief underwriting officer for Zurich North America. Zurich’s CEO, Kristof Terryn, praised Fox’s deep market understanding and experience, stating that she is perfectly positioned to achieve the company’s goals. Caminiti, with over 20 years of industry experience, is described as one of the best underwriters in the industry.

Other companies have also made notable appointments. Aspen Insurance has named Jon Kattman as head of inland marine, leveraging his experience since joining the company in 2017. Frankenmuth Insurance has appointed Kelly Ott as chief legal officer and corporate secretary, bringing in her experience from previous roles at State Farm and other companies. Descartes Underwriting has announced Sophie Bassoulet as head of operations and Kelly Collet-Jones as claims manager, aiming to enhance their data analytics and process efficiency.
Aon has appointed Lambros Lambrou as chief strategy officer, utilizing his extensive experience in various executive roles, including his previous position as CEO of Aon’s Human Capital unit. Lambrou will lead initiatives core to Aon’s Aon United strategy and support the firm’s NFP strategy following the acquisition anniversary.
Troutman Pepper Locke has hired Marisa Young as a partner in its Insurance Transactional and Regulatory Practice Group. Young advises major insurance and financial sector players on regulatory compliance and transactions. Send Technology Solutions has hired Shelley McCormack as chief of staff to lead its U.S. expansion and international growth, overseeing delivery and customer success teams.
