Emerald Bay Risk Solutions Names New CEO
Emerald Bay Risk Solutions has named Tracey Sharis as its new chief executive officer, effective March 20, 2025. Sharis (pictured below) brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, having previously held leadership positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Ironshore Insurance, and Aon Benfield.
Sharis expressed her enthusiasm for scaling the business to meet the evolving needs of both program and capacity partners, as MGAs continue to capture market share and underwriting complexity increases.
Penn Mutual Appoints New CFO
Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company has named Rick Klenk as its next chief financial officer (CFO), effective March 17, 2025. Klenk’s promotion follows the planned departure of Dave Raszeja. In his new role, he will oversee financial, risk, and product management teams. Klenk has over 35 years of experience, including leadership positions at Nationwide and Lincoln Financial Group, and began his career at Penn Mutual as an actuary.
Jewelers Mutual Group Names CFO
Jewelers Mutual Group has appointed Chris Anderson as its new CFO and treasurer. Prior to this role, he was a managing principal at Baker Tilly US.
Ryan Alternative Risk Names President
Ryan Alternative Risk has promoted Matt Havey to president, effective immediately. Havey joined Ryan Specialty in April 2024 as senior vice president of underwriting. Havey stated he’s energized by the direction of Ryan Alternative Risk, the innovative approach of the team, and the values of the organization.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Theresa Biedermann to head of executive & professional lines claims in the US. Biedermann has been with the company for nine years and previously led commercial D&O and financial institutions claims.
Crum & Forster Elevates Cybersecurity Leadership
Crum & Forster (C&F) has promoted Chris Livingston to deputy chief information security officer. Since joining the company in June 2022 as its business information security officer, Livingston has contributed to C&F’s cybersecurity initiatives. In his new role, he will oversee security operations, engineering, and identity and access management.
