KDB Life Insurance recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Cloud Co., Ltd. to conduct joint research on a digital-based information technology (IT) platform. This platform aims to connect customers with long-term care services more effectively.
The partnership involves planning and researching a long-term care service-linked IT system and establishing a collaborative framework between insurance planners and nursing institutions. This initiative comes as South Korea enters an aging society, and there’s a growing need for healthcare and care services.
The proposed linkage platform is expected to create an automated “one-stop” management system. This system will integrate customer care needs with KDB Life Insurance’s guarantee consulting, streamlining the process from counseling to customer history management.

KDB Life Insurance plans to upgrade its three-way linkage system between care institutions and customers. This upgrade is part of developing a business model for digital-based senior care services.
In a related development, KDB Life Insurance signed an MOU with NowCare Company, a nursing services provider, last month. They are promoting a curriculum to train KDB Life Insurance planners as “care planners (FC),” combining nursing counseling and consulting capabilities.
The company has also opened its first day care center in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do. This center features unique nursing environments, including views of Bukhansan Mountain, healing care farms, AI kiosk-based healthcare, a nurse resident system, and senior-customized meals in collaboration with major food companies.
A KDB Life Insurance official stated, “Under our vision of designing customers’ lives through the convergence of insurance and care, we’ve partnered with specialized companies and opened a day care center. We’re transitioning into a ‘WELL-AGING PARTNER’ that designs not just insurance sales but comprehensive nursing services.”
