New Mexico’s Home Insurance Bill Stalls
Senate Bill 81, designed to ease home insurance access for New Mexicans in areas at high risk for wildfires, didn’t make it through its final committee hearing during the 60-day legislative session. Despite the setback, the bill’s Republican sponsor expressed continued hope for residents struggling to rebuild after devastating wildfires.
