New York Life Insurance Co. Senior Partner Don C. Angell Dies
Springfield, MO – Don C. Angell, a senior partner at New York Life Insurance Co. in Springfield, has died. He was 52 years old.
Angell passed away on March 16th, according to Hallie Sale, a New York Life customer service professional who manages the company’s office located at 3250 E. Sunshine St., Ste. 300. “He was the most positive, amazing person to be around,” Sale said. “He’s going to be missed.”

Angell had been a partner with New York Life since 2001, his LinkedIn profile indicates. He was honored with several company awards that included Partner of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and the Top Gun Award. Angell worked at New York Life Insurance Co. for more than 23 years with a focus on recruiting and marketing. “He has enjoyed his 27 years in the industry – helping agents grow their business and protecting thousands of lives in the process,” his profile reads.
Family members have expressed their grief on social media. “Please pray for the family of my dear sweet cousin Donnie Angell,” Sherry Gooch wrote in a public Facebook post. “This guy wasn’t just a cousin, he was such a good friend of mine. He was killed in a freak accident on their farm. We are left wondering why.”
