Rising Home Insurance Rates Hit North Dakota Hard
A recent study by LendingTree, an online lending marketplace, reveals that home insurance rates are skyrocketing across the United States. North Dakota residents are feeling the pinch particularly hard, with an 18% increase in rates – the fifth highest in the nation.
The data shows that over the past six years, national home insurance rates have surged by 35%. For North Dakota homeowners, the average annual cost now stands at approximately $2,900, about 4% higher than the national average. The state’s homeowners are not only facing higher premiums but are also among the top 10 in the country for having uninsured homes.
These rising costs are putting additional financial strain on homeowners in North Dakota, who are already dealing with the challenges of maintaining coverage for their properties.
