Orion180 Introduces Customizable FLEX Home Insurance in Texas

Orion180 has launched FLEX Home Insurance, a new homeowners’ insurance product designed to offer policyholders in Texas greater control over their coverage. The product, available through select insurance agents as of February 2025, allows for customizable policies based on individual needs and financial goals.

“We believe insurance should be adaptable to the lives of our customers – not the other way around,” said Ken Gregg, chief executive of Orion180. “FLEX Home Insurance empowers homeowners with choice to design their policies around their individual preferences and priorities, offering unparalleled transparency, flexibility and peace of mind. FLEX gives homeowners the ability to balance affordability and protection that our competition simply doesn’t deliver today.”

FLEX Home Insurance provides a base level of protection, including coverage for fire and lightning, with the option to add coverage based on the homeowner’s risk tolerance and budget.

Customization options include selecting specific perils aligned with individual risk assessments and adjusting deductibles and copays to manage both upfront and long-term expenses.

Homeowners who experience no losses may qualify for loyalty rewards, such as deductible reductions, no-loss dividends, or a refund of their first-year premium after ten years without a claim. The policy also features a two-term price lock to protect against unexpected rate increases.

The FLEX Home Insurance product is particularly suited for the needs of Texas homeowners, especially those in areas vulnerable to natural disasters such as tornadoes and hailstorms. The product aims to provide an approach to insurance that balances coverage and affordability based on individual circumstances.

Orion180 plans to expand the availability of FLEX Home Insurance to Florida and additional states in the spring of 2025.
