The Oswego Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Rotary Club of Oswego are joining forces to host a paper shredding event on Saturday, April 5th. The event will take place at the Oswego Public Works Facility, located at 100 Theodore Drive, beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until noon, or until the shredding trucks reach capacity.
This drive-through event offers a convenient way for residents to securely dispose of sensitive documents. Individuals are welcome to bring up to three large file boxes of documents for shredding. Participants are asked to place the boxes in their trunk for easy drop-off. Volunteers will empty the boxes and return them to the drivers.
Documents containing personal information, such as receipts, insurance forms, and medical statements, can be vulnerable to identity theft if not properly discarded. This event provides a valuable service to the community by offering a safe and efficient way to shred these documents, helping residents protect themselves from potential fraud.
