Philadelphia Insurance Companies Honored with Prestigious Award for Digital Innovation

BOSTON, May 22, 2025 — Duck Creek Technologies, a leading provider of intelligent solutions for the property and casualty (P&C) and general insurance industries, has awarded Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) the 2025 Standard of Excellence Customer Award at its Formation ’25 conference in Orlando, Florida.

The award recognizes PHLY’s exceptional achievement in digital transformation and innovation in insurance operations. In partnership with Ernst & Young, LLP (EY US), PHLY utilized Duck Creek’s cloud-native, SaaS-based solutions to revolutionize their Business Owners Policy (BOP) delivery. This collaboration resulted in significant advancements in operational efficiency, customer experience, and market responsiveness.

    Key Achievements:

    • Automated policy lifecycle management, enhancing speed and accuracy
    • Real-time data access and analytics for informed decision-making and compliance
    • Modernized agent-facing experience through the Duck Creek Producer Portal
    • Rapid deployment of BOP products across multiple states using pre-configured templates and scalable APIs

“This recognition highlights the power of teamwork and the strength of our technology partnerships,” said Brent Skiles, SVP of Insurance Operations at Philadelphia Insurance Companies. “Together, we’ve launched a future-ready platform that meets the needs of our broker and agency partners while scaling for tomorrow’s opportunities.”

The reimagined BOP offering was initially launched in three states in late 2024, with plans for rollout to 20 additional states throughout 2025. This transformation has already led to increased market share, improved customer satisfaction, and stronger agent engagement.

“Philadelphia Insurance Companies demonstrated what’s possible when a forward-thinking insurer embraces modern technology to meet complex market demands,” said William Magowan, SVP North American Sales at Duck Creek Technologies. “Their strategic use of Duck Creek solutions is a prime example of how carriers can deliver meaningful transformation with speed and scale.”
