Pit Bull Surrendered Due to Landlord Pet Restrictions Gets Special Photo Shoot

    A Pit Bull’s Second Chance

Boss, a lovable Pit Bull, was surrendered to the Humane Society Tampa after his landlord prohibited pets. But his story took a heartwarming turn when photographer Adam Gold gave him a special photo shoot to help find his forever home.

The reason for Boss’ surrender was as frustrating as it was preventable: his landlord no longer allowed pets. After three years with his owner, Boss found himself in a shelter through no fault of his own. This situation has sparked outrage online, with many commenters expressing their dismay and suggesting that owners should prioritize their pets’ well-being over rental agreements.

“My landlord didn’t allow my breed. I moved. Problem solved,” one commenter wrote, echoing the sentiments of many who believe pets are family and should not be abandoned.

Adam Gold, owner of AGoldPhoto Pet Photography, has been capturing the beauty of shelter Pit Bulls since 2016. When he met Boss, he was touched by the dog’s story and decided to give him a royal treatment. The photo shoot aimed to showcase Boss’ charming personality and help him stand out to potential adopters.

The internet has rallied around Boss, praising his adorable appearance and the efforts of Gold to give him a special sendoff. As one commenter noted, “Boss is clearly meant for bigger and better!! I love the way he is announced as he enters the room. He looks amazing.”

For renters facing similar dilemmas, it’s crucial to carefully review lease agreements and discuss pet options with landlords. Sometimes, a meet-and-greet between the landlord and pet, accompanied by health records and behavioral certificates, can make a difference. However, as many advocates emphasize, pets are family, and finding a pet-friendly home should be a priority.

Boss’ story serves as a reminder of the challenges pet owners face in a rental market that often excludes animals. Yet, it also highlights the power of community and the impact of initiatives like Gold’s photography project on helping shelter animals find their forever homes.
