PowerSchool Offers Identity Protection After Data Breach
PowerSchool has announced a partnership with Experian to provide identity protection and credit monitoring services following a recent data breach.

On January 17th, 2025, PowerSchool revealed that they had contracted with Experian to offer identity protection and credit monitoring services to all students and educators affected by a data breach involving the PowerSchool SIS system. This offer is extended regardless of whether an individual’s Social Security number was compromised, according to a press release.

Identity Protection
PowerSchool will provide two years of complimentary identity protection services to all students and educators whose information was involved in the breach.
Credit Monitoring
Additionally, PowerSchool will offer two years of complimentary credit monitoring services to all adult students and educators involved.
PowerSchool plans to begin notifying affected individuals and relevant state attorney general offices within the next two weeks.
