PowerSchool has partnered with Experian to provide identity protection and credit monitoring services following a recent data breach. The announcement, made on Friday, January 17th, aims to support students and educators whose information was compromised in the PowerSchool SIS data breach.

As a result of the data breach, PowerSchool is offering two years of complimentary identity protection services to all affected students and educators. This included the provision of credit monitoring services for adult students and educators. PowerSchool is also preparing to notify individuals and state attorney general offices about the breach over the next two weeks. The services are available regardless of whether an individual’s Social Security number was exfiltrated, according to a company release.
