BLAST, the international tournament organizer, announced on Thursday an expanded sponsorship agreement with Progressive Insurance. Progressive will now be the presenting sponsor for the remainder of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2025 season. The financial details of this expanded partnership were not disclosed.
Progressive, known as the second-largest auto insurance company in the United States, previously sponsored the Rocket League World Championship in September 2024, held in Fort Worth, Texas. “We’re excited to help bring a fun and competitive Rocket League Championship Series season to the Esports community in 2025,” said Sean Freeman, media business Leader at Progressive, in a statement. “We look forward to connecting with the passionate fans of Rocket League both in-game and in the arena all season long through this expanded sponsorship.”
Thursday’s announcement signifies a deeper investment in the esports industry by Progressive. The expanded deal includes all Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) events in 2025. This encompasses Qualifiers, the RLCS Majors in Birmingham, UK, and Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as the Rocket League World Championship, scheduled to take place later this year in Lyon, France.
As part of the agreement, the Progressive brand will gain prominence at RLCS 2025 events. The company’s branding will be featured across social media channels, on streaming platforms during broadcasts, and through in-game and out-of-game logo integrations.
